Thanks to Tom, NW6P, for the use of his station.
I loaded Tom's shorty forty on 160 with a 3.5:1 SWR through the tuner and
worked 4 CA stations. The only non-CA I heard, K0EU, couldn't hear my weak
signal.
It was really tough finding mults on 80 with poor propagation and strong noise.
I got a late start by about 15 minutes and probably missed a few 10-meter mults
that were workable early.
