Comments:
Tough conditions for a tough contest! The band was nice and quiet and the South
and NE Beverages worked great and made it easy to hear all kinds of DX, but few
could hear my 100 watts. Hated to leave so many good ones on the table,
especially 3V8BB for a new one on 160.
You can really tell who have great RX antennas and who are the alligators.
First night was much better than the second as fewer EU heard calling. First
night 33 Qs 25 Mults, 2nd night 12 Qs 6 Mults.
And how can I work so easily into 9A, SV, LZ, LY, etc, but it was like a wall
around the three Spanish stations constantly calling...Nada. A big thank you
too all who picked me out of their noise, some stayed with me for over a minute
to get the call right. Great ops! KH7X...sorry for the dupe, but just needed
to be sure I heard my call OK. Thanks.
The pace may be slow, but what a fun challenge!
