Unassisted by cluster spots -- or sunspots it seems. What a mess the polar path
was. Unlike 2012's great conditions, this year the bands were squashed by geomag
activity -- pushing RF through active aurora makes contesting a lot less fun.
Best hour was 65. Averaged 31/hour -- down from 36/hour last year.
Still too many DX stations running for long periods without IDs. One station
was sening "QRZ" after each QSO, when he just as easily could have sent his
callsign. Go figure.
10M: no Europe, no multiplier joy
15M: Europe on Saturday, hardly any Sunday
20M: Europe open well both mornings, but faded away quickly
40M: Big-time DX band this weekend
80M: Tough work, few mults available without a polar path
160M: Doubled the mult count to 2 (Jamaica and Hawaii)
Thanks for the contacts. Hoping for better things next year.
