Comments:
Seemed like an awful long contest and propagation wasn't great. Was never able
to establish a decent run altho I was told the sig was booming in. Best short
term rate (15 min) was 70 Q's/hr, but 30 was the norm for Sat and early Sun.
Almost all S&P, and the new ones got rarer and rarer toward the end. so rare I
took a 3 hour nap and started working the contest again for the last 2.5 hours.
New ones still rare but at least there were a few there. Also managed to get a
few Oceana and Asians at dusk but not many. Still managed to lots of new
band/modes for the Challenge. Also managed one 160M DX qso. Worked lots of
stations on 5 bands and one on 6 bands.
Rig - FT-9000D, Alpha 9500, Mosley Pro 57B, 2 crossed 80 meter dipoles,
Ameritron ATR-15 antenna tuner, MFJ-434 Voice Keyer (not used much).
