Comments:
Thanks again to all who make this a fun QSO Party. Appreciate all who
showed up for the party...and to those that called in and didn't know
there was a party....
Mobiles were great....with WA1Z (w/W6PH) leading the way with 38 Q's.
Then came KM3T-17, K1KI-16, KX9X & NJ1F-11 and N1JEO-6.
Had 58 counties at the end of first day...but, ORLVT was sitting up
at the top all alone...know I had missed someone earlier...
But, starting out Sunday morning, KX9X gave me WASRI at 1416z.
KB1VZU called in from PISME, and K2LEK in NANMA was a welcome
site at 1508z. WA1Z gave me SOMME for #62 followed by N1WXQ calling
from BELNH followed by WA1Z again with FRAME. Calling for NE on
20SSB netted WA1QKT in FRAMA and shortly later WA1Z for last one
in ME - KEN....so, figured it was going to be one short for the
sweep this year....then at 1933z while pleading for NE on 20SSB,
K1TTJ called in and made the comment - "I'm just calling you so
you won't burn up your radio!"...I replied thanks and what is
your county and state....he said "Orleans, Vermont"...Sweep!!!
I checked QRZ.com just to be sure he was for real....Jay, VT is
Orleans County, VT.!!!!
My score is better this year than the last few years. Crazy thing
is that it is the exact score of 2010 at 64,789 - to the point!!
Thanks to all again.....
73, Paul, N4PN
