Comments:
Decided to run single band just because I never did it before, and I only have
one band with a (not-very-high) Yagi. 3 elements on 16 foot boom @ 35 feet. I
think this is the first time I've ever worked whole gobs of W6's by backscatter
... CW signals that had no hint of a tone, just buzz. Really, Europe sounded
better than California the first evening! The second day things were more
normal.
High point: after several failed attempts to log P6N, they called in while I
was running towards the end of the contest. Nice. Low point: hardly any JAs!
They're our meat and potatoes out here on the left coast.
