Started out ok, swept thru 20->15->40 and was running abt even w/ last
year, down a few mults. Went back to 20 and the only EU was watery and peaking
SE. Knew then this might be a Real Bad weekend. Went to bed at 07z down
100q/80mults from last year hoping that things would improve.
Saturday was a struggle all day, so i took a nap in the afternoon, hoping for
20 to come back after dark. Didn't happen. pretty much thru in the towel
then, operating sporadically thru Sat evening. Gave it another go Sun am with
still poor propagation, operated sporadically passing out points here and
there. The last couple hours, things seemed to have 'healed' a bit. Best hour
of the contest for me was the last one, had an hour of 86 running mostly EU.
Usually in bad condx, I can still work a lot of I's and EA's, but in this one
those numbers were also way down.
maybe next year?
