Comments:
Well, I don't have a 6m antenna - use my 40m dipole - so I don't expect much
but this was even less than I hoped for. When the band is open, I can usually
work all over the Eastern USA, but I didn't find any openings this time.
The N1MM timer says I operated only one hour, but it actually was several, the
problem being most of the time all I heard was hiss.
I did go Assisted so I'm right there in with the big multi-op stations. I
don't
think they're shaking in their boots. I didn't get even one Assisted QSO but I
did spot those I worked or heard.
I was excited about this contest as I had some fun on 6m JT65 the previous
weekend. I do look forward to more of that.
I have now had 122 QSOs on 6m since I was licensed in 1958.
See you in the IARU. Have a good summer and July 4th holiday.
73,
Kermit (Ken) AB1J
