Comments:
Elecraft KX3 and some home made verticals made of PVC .(K0DU DESIGN) I also put
up a couple dipoles at 25ft using a telescoping painters pole. We were Solar
& Battery powered as well. Camping at Vega Reservoir East of Grand
Junction
,Colorado . Getting to old to stay up all night so we were only able to put in
about 14 hrs total . We had fun though . It's amazing what you can work with
little power and make shift antennas . I had a few Russian stations answer my
CQ'S on 20 meters Saturday evening . I think the last time I worked Field Day
was about 1976.
