Comments:

Conditions were really rough. Last year I did 192x43=30,024. This year compares
closer to 2010(125x38=15,636) and 2011(128x43=13,0720. The differences seems to
be in QSO point values. The highlight was BU2AV(Zone 44) as my 2nd QSO on 20
Saturday at 14:26Z. The first time I have worked Taiwan. So 1 new country. IARU
is always a fun event, but I sure hope conditions are better for WRTC next year.
Last year I worked 6 of the WRTC Test Event stations, for which I just received
paper QSL cards in the mail this week. I assume there were test stations on
this year, but I never heard any, much less worked any. It's getting really
hard to find real contest enthusiasm when it seems there is a deterioration of
propagation due to solar conditions virtually every weekend all this year. TNX
to the KB'ers who gave me points in this event. Bert, K6CSL
