Comments:

Portable bicycle QRP operation from Holt Hill in Andover, Mass., elevation 420'.
Weather was mostly sunny, dry and 77F.

Station Equipment:
- Yaesu FT-817ND
- Cushcraft 3-element 450 MHz Yagi
- 12V gel-cell battery

Power: 5 Watts

Work caused me to miss Saturday. I had time to participate on Sunday for the
last hour and do this as a ham contest bike trip.

Small size of UHF antenna allows me to load my go-bag, logbook and battery into
a knapsack and strap the Yagi to the bike for the ride up to Holt Hill. I
operated for one hour on 432 MHz only. Equipment worked as designed.

Great day to be outside and do a fun contest at the same time. I wish I had
been able to participate on Saturday. After the contest I stayed on the hill to
enjoy the sun & the view, monitor ATC comms, and watch a hay baler mow the
field. A strong approaching thunderstorm forced me off the hill in a hurry at
1645 local time.

73, Alexander N1PRW
