Fabulous conditions for QRP. Low noise and tons of stations. Then weirdness
happened! Wireless keyboard function keys stopped working. Plugged in new
keyboard. Then rotor stops while pointing due east. Sunday morning port
conflicts take SDR out. Do a few foolish things such as vapourized all ports to
no success. Then get smart and restore computer to a previous restore point and
I'm back on the air. Thanks to all CCI members for suggestions on rotor
repairs. Checking voltages first, wiring second and maybe take down the rotor
if all else fails. BTW ran assisted and never used the band map. Won't do that
again. In a weak moment considered buying a 100-watt rig but really virtually
no repeats during contest and worked VU on Thursday and printed YB for hours on
15 but couldn't work him. Did get a ?? a couple of times.
