Comments:

First I would like to thank my parents. Severall weeks ago I asked my dad to
make an antenna for 80m. I felt that it was time for something else.
A few hours before the contest started the 80m antenna a fullsize dipole was
ready!

My goal was 1000 QSO's, never made it before, always a big dream.
Normally is 10m the key for a good contest but I knew that the conditions on
this band weren't good the last weeks.

Now the summary of this year. The conditions were good but not like last year.
I started on 80m and after 1hour I had 45 QSO's, antenna worked wel! I worked
al lot of DL stations on 80m but also some American stations like K1IG, NR4M,
... Most nice moment was sundayevening, nice run! QSO number 1000 was on 80m,
historical moment!

40m stays still 'my' band. The first day I could'nt manage to have a 'pile-up'
so I decided to combinate more. S&P and when I worked everybody I called
CQ.
Worked ZL, PY, VE, K, A65, JA, ....
On sundaymorning after I was spotted I had a decent run on 40m. Severall score
like last year on 40m.

20m, As ON3 I may only send until 14.085, very small band for me. It was busy
and some guys started to call CQ on 14.070, thanks;-) (sorry PSK friends). I
worked also ZL and WH0RU (new for me) on this band. I had only call once, they
were so strong!!

15m, conditions were ok, but not so many UA stations in the morning.

10m was al little disaster. Second new DXCC of the contest was SU9AF. Always
nice to work new DXCC!
The signals were weak, no conditions!

Setup: FT897 (50W), home made vertical antenna and dipole for 80m.

I have my 1000 QSO's, I was happy but I didn't went to bed for 36hours, I was
really tired.

Now I have to think about a new goal!

Thanks to work me and see you in the next contest. You will hear me in the CQ
WW SSB.

73, ON3DI
