Comments:
My goal was to get a clean sweep, therefore I did a lot of S&P looking for
unworked sections, and starting towards the west, therefore by the time I get
to 40 and 80 meters, I'll get the east coast. Well, the plan worked great. I
had all of the west complete except for EWA. When I went to bed after 8 hours
of operating I had all but 3 sections to go, EWA, QC and NL. I got NL out of
the way first thing this morning on 20 meters. I got EWA early afternoon and
decided to take another break. When I got back I saw QC spotted on 20 meters, I
didn't think I would have propagation to work QC but to my surprise I heard him
strong and he answered me right away for the SWEEP just after 3pm. The pressure
was off, so I made some qso's before taking a few hours off and watching my
Steelers lose again. A sweep always feels good, and that's my goal every year,
not to win my section or anything else.
This is always my favorite contest of the season, and this year didn't let me
down. Great ops in this contest, and thanks for your patience with my low power
signal. I'll be out in Pittsburgh in two weeks so I will miss the Nov SS Phone
this year.
