Modest conditions for most of the contest here in Alaska. Could hear JA
stations great when they called, but never really able to make any connected
runs. Mostly lots of CQing. Debated on whether to submit this as a SOSB 15m
entry, but I worked hard for those 40m Qs, by golly, and wanted to recognize
the effort!
Mild geomag storms skewed 10m path from a normal E propagation AK to JA all the
way to due South, which was strange. Had to make sure my antenna wasn't rotated
wrong. Nope, Still E prop on 15 m. Just 10m was skewed.
First SO contest in HP category. It would have been a hard contest in AK with
LP only.
