Comments:

Thank heavens for DSP in our radios! Otherwise I'd have thrown in the towel on
Sunday afternoon due to line noise on 10 and 15.
I noticed on 20 meters on Sunday that I could hear (what I assume to be) the
static crashes coming from the thunder storms in the upper Mid-West. It sounded
like 80 meters in the summer!
10 (and 15) meters in SS just doesn't produce results for me. I guess NTX is
caught in the "doughnut hole" of propagation. Signals from both
coasts are certainly loud enough, but the rate never materializes.
Despite these challenges, this was the biggest Phone SS score my station has
produced.
After the contest, I discovered the "medicinal" purpose of ice cream.
It sure felt good on a sore throat!
On another note; I had one person (who didn't ID) complain about my signal
being broad - and he didn't stick around when I asked how broad. (I guess this
is one of those drive-by complaints)If anyone else noticed my signal being wide
or dirty, please let me know off-net with specifics.

See y'all next weekend in WW DX CW
