Comments:
By and large a pleasant experience but not without visits from Mr. Murphy. A
quickly erected dipole to supplement the ground mounted vertical worked well in
SS CW at low power levels but with high power for phone it wrecked havoc with
the logging computer causing lock-ups and total shutdowns. Thankfully nothing
logged was lost to my knowledge and if I was a dupe because the machine did not
log you, my apology.
No frequency fights this year and I thought I sensed a higher level of
cooperative effort from all, even including the "gall bladder surgery
nets".
I really felt sorry for Ken, VO1KVT, having to deal with the incessant, no
listening callers looking for that NL multiplier. Amazing that some really
capable and experienced hams won't abide by the sought after stations request
to standby. Ken must be a saint.
