Comments:
Excellent conditions in central Ohio on Day 1, with Day 2 still pretty good.
Lots of US signals, but fewer Euros than expected. Nice surprise was the /CE1,
plus KL7 and KH6. QRN was minimal. No power line noise this year. Awesome
receive conditions on the IC7600 and my qtr wave inverted L/apex at
39'/w/30x65' radials.
Family obligations and mostly casual operating limited on the air time to 13
hours= average rate of 40/hr, including the slower pre-sunrise three hour
window on both days, and only one evening during peak levels of activity.
Still hoping for a 2nd/3rd cw op to enable 30+ hour effort ( no longer an
iron-man!)
Snow, shortage of operators, prevented the usual WW8OH M-S entry so I
operated from the warmth and convenience of the home QTH this time. Been a
while.
