Comments:
This was one of three operations at the Stanford University
station. W6YX operated by K6UFO put in only 7 hrs on Saturday,
ND2T operated by ND2T was only Sunday, K6SU operated by N7MH
put in a full 24 hrs on both Saturday and Sunday.
The first hour was a race with rate over 100, then it cooled
to rates of 50 to 70 per hour. I had problems with the amp
turning itself off when I changed bands, and I had to do a
power reset and wait through the startup delay. So I didn't
change bands often.
At the suggestion of N7MH I spent my last 30 minutes, the
30 minutes before sunset, on 40m to pick up European
Mults. Worked great, I added 10 mults!
I had both MMTTY and 2Tone decoder windows, and 95 percent
the same copy, 5 percent one or the other came through.
Late afternoon I could tell there were more weak JA's on
10m that I just couldn't pull out. Otherwise the antennas
were great, the propagation was high-flux but disturbed,
and the operator did his best with only 7 hrs.
