Comments:

Weather very very cold. Rotor of Triband beam stuck facing South West. Not an
good start for this event.Decided to run low power. While making it a bit
harder to "RUN", it was still a lot of fun. Used a new radio. It is a
sofware defined unit, developed by the HPSDR group based on direct
downconversion using a digitizer at the RF freauency. The unit I used is called
the ANAN-100D and built by the Apache-Labs in India. It contains, what is in
fact two separate receivers and one direct upconversion transmitter. This
arrangement allowed the viewing of all bands at the same time while
transmitting on any one. Still learning how to operate with this capability. To
simplify things, for this contest, only kept two bands visable on the display at
any one time. BCNU in the next contest Thanks for the "Q's" 73 de
