Had an interesting experience in the ARRL RTTY RU.
I run 100 watts into a BigIr. Does a reasonable job - but for some reason 15m
is more than reasonable.
I hardly even bother using skimmers and the like - just to hard to break
through the crowd. Sometimes I manage to get a bit of a run going, but his
weekend saw one run that absolutely floored me.
VE6 is not usually that well represented on RTTY - this weekend I think there
might have been 2 of us.
I had a run on 15 that absolutely floored me. If I worked half of the stations
calling me - I would be surprised. I managed to keep it up for an hour before
I was called for "other duties". The sad part was, the pile up was so bad that
it was almost counter productive. Thanks to everyone who contributed..
