Comments:
Another low key QRP effort from FL. I didn't want to repeat last week's effort
of shooting a wire into a palm tree in a dimly lit parking area at our condo,
so this week I set up the MFJ telescoping whip on loan from W1NN (tnx Hal!). No
computer, just a WinKey, paddle, and paper.
Decent signals on 20, but still I am pretty weak. Especially since when taking
it down I had missed extending two sections, resulting in a 15 meter quarter
wave antenna :-(. It did tune up on 40 enough to catch the good ears of
NO3M.
No NS next week as we'll have friends visiting. I am planning to take the KX3
and MFJ whip to a park by Sarasota Bay for a few hours in the DX test this
weekend.
