Portable QRP operation from the top of Holt Hill in Andover, Mass., elevation
420'. Weather was clear, dry and 74F.
Station Equipment:
- Yaesu FT-817ND
- Elk 2M/440L5 portable log periodic antenna
- 1/2 wavelength 6m dipole, homemade
- 12V gel-cell battery
Operated for a short time Sunday afternoon on 6m, 2m & 70cm.
Great weather for an afternoon on the hill. YL brought a book. Short, casual
effort because it was a busy weekend. Too bad because 6m was good.
Enhancement Sunday afternoon led to 6m Qs with EM63 and EM64 from FN42, good
QRP DX.
