Compromised antenna (20m ham stick dipole @ 15'/4m AGL on back deck), itinerant
op location (dining table), and QRWife who wanted to watch the Braves baseball
game w/o me shouting my call sign every 10 seconds meant that my score is what
it is.
One good thing: I had just completed reading "Worlds Best Hobby" by
Dave Bell, W6AQ (worldsbesthobby.com) and re-watching the various films he made
promoting Amateur Radio on YouTube. Then, out of nowhere, there he was on 20m
calling CQ! I made a contact with one of the "rock stars" of Ham
Radio! Well, it was a big deal at the time...
