The above score includes 18 bonus multipliers for activating 18 counties.
No, I didn't drive 1400 miles to operate in the SCQP! I did coordinate a visit
with my son to coincide with the SCQP.
Activity seemed slow at times during the day but picked up later in the
afternoon on 40m. Originally my route was going to cover about 600 miles. A
few days before the QSO party I reduced it to 500 miles. That was a good move
as I would have never been able to cover a 600 miles route.
As I reported for the ARQP the engine noise from my new truck is terrible on
20m. I found a combination of DSP and IF NB on my K3 that made it bearable. I
apologize to any callers I couldn't hear. Hopefully I'll be able to reduce it
for the upcoming TQP.
Thanks to everyone who called and especially thanks to the following stations
for contributing more than half the QSO's: W1DWA(24), W8CAG(20), OM2VL(16),
KC3X(16), N4JT(14), N2JNE(13), DL5ME(13), WA4GQG(13), NT2A(12), WB0PYF(11),
K3TW(11), K8NYG(11), W4YDY(10), K5KDG(10), K7ZYV(10), KN4Y(10), KE0G(9),
KI4MZC(9), N9QS(9), WA4WKL(9), NT5O(9), WN4AFP(9), KB4FS(9), NU0Q(9), W5QP(9),
W8POF(9), K4BAI(9), N4VV(8), and N8II(8).
A special thanks to my wife, K5AKS, for driving.
Please look for me in the Texas QSO Party next weekend!
73, Alan N5NA
