Comments:
Station worked OK. A few nagging problems required an outdoor fix Sat morning,
but it wasn't super distracting. The first day was only so-so, but the second
day was great. 80/160 never were good, never heard an EU on 80 and never got
out of the continent on 160.
Thanks to the JA activity! Don't know what we'd do without you out here in the
Northwest. Never really got EU going anyplace the first day, had a few glimmers
of runs on 15 the second day. JA on Sat night was the best I have ever heard.
That was fun!
Thanks to W9CF for getting TR-Log/Linux going on SSB. Was able to use the
sound card and it worked flawlessly.
Only mytery moment was the last hour of the contest when I was running on 10
and tuning on 20. I looked up and suddenly noticed that the run rig was on
15!! I called a few CQ's with the rig on 15 and the amp on 10. Not good! But
it survived. Somehow I must have hit the command strokes to change bands on TR
Log (something I never do -- I use the band switch).
