Comments:

This was another collaborative effort by WQ6X & N6GEO operating a FLEX-3000
into a KPA-500 amp producing 149 watts into an 8mh 2-el. Stepp-IR along with a
6-BTV vertical for the low bands at N6GEO's Brentwood QTH.
A last minute revamp of the SDR computer by N6GEO eliminated the crashes we
were experiencing from the weekend before.

For logging we successfully utilized N1MM+ in conjunction with a CW skimmer.
While the SFI was only 129 and the K-Index was 2 - 3, our biggest noise problem
was on 40-meters starting EXACTLY at 20 minutes past 8pm (local time), pointing
to a local source for the noise, not a solar source. While we worked through
it all, 40 meters gave us a dismal 67 QSOs for all that hell.

It was nice to see a number of 1st-timers this year.
Lets hope they join us for Sweepstakes phone.
