I think contest scores in Alaska with very poor solar indices depend on regular
spots and high power. No spots and you are sucking air CQing or someone takes
your freq. I only ran 500 w and the spots were, well, spotty. 10 M on
Saturday was good for a couple hours and then 15m was OK Sat night and Sun
aft.
Worked all states which was cool, but missed 3 Canadian sections for the sweep.
ONN, QC and NL. Never heard a signal from them despite going to a couple spots.
I am ready for contest with shorter exchanges....
