Comments:
Set my goal for the contest to better my last effort and to work assisted. I
have never used spots before and really did not know how to use them other than
comments from other operators. I had trouble getting connected with good
results until 5 minutes before the contest with help from Mark, N2QT. BIC time
was long compared to my past endeavors and others. I am still shy at running in
any mode and as usual all my contacts were search and ponce. With 15 minutes
to spare at 9:45 Sunday night, I still lacked ONE section (Literally ONE.)
Filling down, I ran across VE3WRL calling CQ on an non-spotted location on 80
meters. His report of ONE, nearly made me panic as I managed to return his
report without completing his information in the log. At the end of the
contact, we shared a few comments on his contact making Sweepstakes for me and
his not making it. My first Sweep and after over 17 hours in the seat and
without running. I would not have been able to do that without being assisted.
Great time and looking forward to my next endeavor.
