Comments:
I wanted to put in a significant effort for this one. I decided that I would do
SO40 so that I could get some rest during the day. I spent the first night with
conditions that seemed the best for a contest that I can remember. It was
awesome. Unfortunately, this old 70 year old body just didn't hold up. I was
totally wiped out after the first night. Too bad.
I worked my first JA at 11:30 in the evening and both Ja and EU were rolling
for about 3-4 hours at the same time. Couldn't figure out which way to point
the antenna. :-) Wish I had the stamina to finish off the contest but I was
very happy with the first night. I had DXCC within the first 4 hours.
