Comments:

Lots of fun. Wasn't sure how jet lag would affect operating time, since
returning from 4 weeks in Asia this past Wednesday afternoon. Fell a sleep
early Saturday night, but woke up wide awake at 4am local time Sunday morning
and got on the air by 4:30am. Glad I got up. Worked some Asia mults on 40m and
also grabbed some mults on 80m. Bands were great Sunday. I kept bouncing around
on 10-15 and 20 after sunrise. I was focused on doing DXCC this time around. I
usually fall a few short. Logged JW7QIA at 2154UTC on 15m for #100. 20m was
very strange. While working big signals to EU in the afternoon, I heard VK2DX
calling CQ at S9 on the back of the beam. I turned the beam down his way and he
dropped 10DB. Tried calling several times, but no luck. Turned the beam back to
long path, and boom, first call! Then a few minutes later I heard a fluttery
polar signal from JA3YBK in there just after working the VK2. I worked JA3YBK
with the beam NE!
Nice openings Saturday night to Asia on 15m. Worked a bucket full of JA, and
was also able to grab a BY, DS and 9m6. I must have spent a good 20 minutes
trying to get BY4AA in the log, and finally gave up on him. a little while
later I heard BY5CD up the band a bit in the clear, and grabbed him on my first
try. Go figure!
All in all, a good time!

Operating conditions: Icom IC-756PROIII 100 watts, TH2MK3 2 element triband
@37', 80m OCF dipole @35'.
