Comments:

This was another last minute gig from the N6GEO QTH.
A tower failure relegated the 2-El Stepp-IR to a max height of 20 feet.
Extra radials on the 6-BTV made 80 meters possible to 14 countries, including
Zone-14 in Europe; incredible from W6-land.
Conditions on 20, 15 & 10 we quite good.
Unfortunately, our local S9 noise source plagued us on 40 and to some degree on
80. However that did not stop our the KPA-500 from getting us heard in
virtually every QTH we could hear.
Our biggest problem was the disappearing virtual serial ports for keying CW, so
sometimes WQ6X was forced to have to send information by HAND, not by computer -
horrors!
People had trouble with the N6HEO call so I would send it as N6G E O which made
quite a difference.
We managed 116 countries overall and 32 out of the 40 zones - we worked
virtually every zone we could hear. The "exotic" callsigns made the
contest even more enjoyable.
Look for us next year.

  Ron
