Comments:
Worked all sections except Canadian arctic. Best DX was VK and UA9. The first
night began early with incredible conditions. 2 hours before sunset I was
hearing east coast. I knew I would need to sleep sometime the first night, but
having too much fun until I ran out of steam just as the terminator was about
to hit the east coast - so I missed some good volume time the first night.
Pulled an all-nighter the second night, as I had slept all day Saturday. Still,
could not get those last 8 QSOs at the end to make 1000 - would have been nice.
While I indicate assisted as my category, I never used the internet cluster the
first night. However the second night, I used it to snag quick easy QSO's in
between CQs - if no answer on main frequency.
No Europe for me, as usual, my 30 degree horizon (sharp cliff - close in) to NE
plus magnetic N pole in middle of path makes EU all but impossible for me on
160, and too far north for LP.
I spent much time improving bev's before contest, that paid off some, but still
my apologies to those I could not pull through.
Best 73's to all, hope CU in Stew Perry soon - Craig KG7H
