10m Meters in the solar peak is fun for a rate junkie!!
Wish I had the time for a full time effort.
10M antenna was not able to rotate over the remote, so this was all done with
one 5 element yagi pointed NE.
Thanks to Andy, K2LE for the generous use of his Vermont Contest Station.
K3 + Alpha 87 + K3/0 remote + 5L at 65 feet.
I was very happy to keep an average rate 104/hr for the entire time I was on,
and banging at the door of 200/hr for peak rates.
Funny, I had better rates on CW than phone. The problem is so many people have
audio that is so distorted,it blows the rate completely to get their call.
Maybe they will learn to apply the power amp to the RF rather then the Mic
Jack.
On CW, totally cut numbers slowed the rate. The practice should be banned!
