That may have been the last hurrah for 10M in this cycle, so I pressed for 1000
Qs just to say I did that on 10M back in the "good old days" of Cycle
24. It'll be all downhill from here. In a couple of years 100 Qs will seem quite
an achievement.
High A index meant no European opening, other that what I could work around the
edge of the auroral oval -- EA, EI -- and a couple of OH and SM via skew while
working JAs.
Japan was well represented, with more than twice the total worked in my
previous best effort in 2011.
Didn't land VK or ZL until Sunday afternoon. The band seemed in great shape as
long as I didn't have to beam through the auroral zone.
Had a very good time, got lots of sleep both nights (band shutting down by 6
p.m. local and not active until about 8 a.m.).
Now on to OK DX RTTY before the holidays begin.
