Thanks to George for letting me pilot his station in the ARRL 10 Meter
Contest again. As the parent of a three-year-old, I have had fewer
options to get on the air, and especially this year some unexpected
conflicts got in the way of my favorite events. The result is that
these were the first HF QSOs I've made since last year's 10 Meter
Contest. It felt good to get back into the rhythm of running rate.
Conditions seemed good, and I enjoyed the light Eskip on Saturday
night. I briefly had illusions of a 3000 QSO weekend, but Sunday
afternoon conditions did not quite hold up. I ended on a high note,
though, picking up my final US state multiplier (Arkansas) in
the final five minutes!
