Comments:
I had some unfinished business carried forward from my December 2013 low-power
multi-one RAC Winter Contest entry. My new rig "died" (lost its
config) at the 23:25 mark, with 35 minutes remaining in last year's contest.
Being new, I didn't know how to repair or reinitiate the K3 (config). This
left me 17,000 points shy of the half-million points goal.
I was operating alone this year. I still chose to operate assisted which put me
in the multi-single low-power category.
Congratulations to Leor VE4DXR for his first ever VE4RAC entry. VE4DXR and
VE4DRK made a fine showing for themselves.
It seemed to me that Canadian participation was up this year, especially from
the VE4 section. It was heart-warming to hear from a number of just-licensed
US amateurs who were in their first ever radiosport event.
Thank you to all for the QSOs and special thanks to those mult-stations who
allowed me to move them to other bands and modes.
Happy New Year to ALL
