hrd EI2CN, a DL calling the P4, HC2AO, F5IN
I started fairly early, qso's were not fast but steady. Condx seemed quite
good stateside. I heard a couple EU aroun 02z, thought it might be a decent
night. NP2X aand KV4FZ were strong all night. Called EI2CN a few times, no
other US callers, couldn't even get a ?? from him. Later I heard F5IN being
called by a few people, there were a couple Qs on the freq going on. He wasn't
working stateside, so i saved the freq to come back later. that was the last EU
i heard. Around 04z the band got very wierd. Most signals were gone. A few
were still around, some of those strong and from (relatively) far away. A very
slow, very deep QSB was on all signals. The band more or less came back to
normal a couple hours later. the West Coast was very weak all night although
some of the AZ stns were loud. The FL stations were loud and hearing very
well. It seemed that any path that was more south was good, anything that had
any north at all to it was very poor.
Took a nap at 0715z, didn't look like any EU would show up. Got back on at
0930z for the 'morning rush' - it didn't materialize so went back to be at
1045z.
Would have been nice if condx were a bit better overseas, but much fun
nonetheless. Activity seemed good to me.
