Comments:
Conditions were pretty sucky for the most part. I was sure that the antenna fell
down, but then I would work a few guys out west, convincing me that things were
OK. Rates were pretty bad and I quit early Friday as rates dipped into single
digits. Saturday was even worse and I was questioning whether I should have
taken up a different activity for this weekend. I threw in the towel at 0240
but remembered my mantra, "never quit!". After an hour of rest, I got
back on and was glad I did because the EU's finally came a flying in a big way
later on. So, a couple of hours of excitement was the whole highlight - kinda
like a VHF contest!
Despite the low QSO total, I nabbed 60 US/CAN, only missing SD and MT
stateside. Geez, I almost missed my own state - apparently, I was the only
CQing from VT!
