Visited K1VR on Saturday to have a fun day in CQ WPX RTTY before the third 2015
blizzard arrived here. Once I got MMTTY running inside WIN-TEST (Thanks K6ND
& K1TTT), I proceeded to CQ for 10 minutes at 500W and blew the parasitic
resistors in Fred's AL-1200. Took it apart, found the problem and was back on
the air in 90 minutes. Fred and I enjoyed some social time together too. Thanks
Fred! I left at 6PM Saturday with 6 inches (15cm) of snow on the road. It was a
treacherous but fun ride home, in a "dirt tracking" sort of way. The
49 mile ride took me an hour and a half.
