Comments:

Snow snow and cold. First time needed warm clothing in radio room. Usualy wear
shorts, not this time. Antennas did not load properly at start of contest. That
limited me to 300 watts except for 80 meters. On that band could not go above
150 watts.
Anyway still had fun. Lots of people on the bands. Had very good time on 10
meters. My qso total shows the results. It is the highest "Q" count I
can remember for any contest.
Equipment: ANAN-100D transceiver (Software defined Radio), Acom 1000 Amp,
Tribander and wires for 40 and 80.
The radio worked perfectly. The difference between the SDR and conventional
radios has to be experienced to be believe. The ability to monitor the entire
band and just click on the mouse to acquire stations opens up a new dimension
in contesting. Do not know how much longer I will be able to contest (age 86),
but the SDR type radios have extended my competitive life.
Thanks for all the "Q's" It would not be as much fun without all the
competition.
