Comments:

With the horrendous amount of snow, my remote ham shack on my property is not
accessible. Depths are over four feet! I ended up snow shoeing up the hill and
put in a couple of hours on ten meters on Sunday mid day. Almost all my
activity, however, was spent on 160 meters, the only band I could get to easily
as it is close to the house. It is out in my old shop. I only have to travel
about 30 ft in snow to reach it! I used my trusty K3 and a homebrew single
band amp that delivers about 1300 watts or so. Antenna is a 1/4 wave Rohn 25
top loaded vertical with some radials buried in the lawn and fields. I have a
few beverages. The best one is 1100 ft long and aimed at Europe. For some
reason, it works very well. I am submitting as a 160 Meter single band entry.
Spring can't come soon enough! I have re named my house Ice Station Zebra.
