Comments:
My point of view: average CONDX during this year CW leg of ARRL contest.
I took part third year in a row. CONDX on low bands were better than last year,
but worse than two years ago. CONDX on high bands were worse than last year, but
better than two years ago.
Start was fine, mainly on 40m of nice rates. 80m not so good, and 160m was
digging from the noise. My current setup is sensitive to good condition, hi. If
they are good, I'm in pileups. If they are average and worse, I'm not. High
bands didn't produce pileups for me. Sat/Sun night was full of finding balance
between CQ and S/P. High bands were opened, including 10m, but without pileups.
I got gift on Sunday evening: large 2 hours NA opening on 15m, with 99% of 599+
signals and continuous rates above 150 Q/h.
Total score is less than last year. But quite good score in the
"subcategory" mid-sized SO1R stations. Time to ideas of SO2R.
Thanks to all participants!
