At times, the band was quite good to North Carolina and Ohio. Best DX was WA9KRT
to the west (490 miles), KA2KQM to the southwest (477 miles) and K1WHS to the
northeast (468 miles). Activity was good, especially in the first two hours of
the contest. The chat room was directly responsible for 3 unique grids and
provided info on active stations that allowed me to work another 5 or 6
stations that I would not likely have heard otherwise. I like the change. Now I
need another monitor! Thanks to the rovers for putting in the effort for the
short test.
