Did a 'short' contest from farm QTH due to new noise source at farm QTH (me and
my trusty 5 lb hammer/maul found 2nd power pole in front yard was source -
either xfrmer or an insulator issue - ?? ) A call to rural pwr company this
week .....
Conditions were above average on all bands with good enhancement out to the
west and to the south directions on the upper bands with some random small
openings on 6 meters ... 144 EME had great signals on my single yagi setup
except intermittent s9 QRN noise WAS VERY LIMITING ..... Was running 100w and
homebrew 4 ele on 6m , usual 12 ele tropo and 17 ele EME on 144 w/ 1.5kw and
50w on 432 all using the TS2000X ...
