Comments:
I made 745 point from QSOs, plus
- 100pt bonus for emergency power
- 100pt bonus for being set up in a public place
- 50pt bonus for submitting my entry through www.b4h.net/cabforms
for a total of 995 points.
I operated from two public locations:
- Bate Island, a public park in the Ottawa River, Ottawa, Canada, with a view
to the Canadian Parliament Buildings (27 June)
- Rideaucrest Park in the Barrhaven neighbourhood of Ottawa, Canada (28 June)
My Station was:
- one Yaesu FT-817 xcvr
- one 12v 7Ah sealed lead-acid battery
- a wire vertical mounted on a 33 ft fibreglass telescoping pole.
At each location, it took me just five minutes to set up, and five minutes to
tear down my station.
