Comments:
I almost didn't get on for this. The station is only half set up and I haven't
yet put the 80 meter antenna back up after returning from Europe where I used
it in PA. But at the last minute I found myself still awake and I decided to
give it a go. When I set my clock by 10 MHz WWV just before the start, I could
barely hear it, so I thought the high bands would be awful but boy was I
surprised at the great short skip and I think I had my best-ever 15 and 20
totals. 40 wasn't bad either, but rather slow at the end. Wish I had taken
advantage of today's break in the rain to put up the 80 meter antenna.
Nice to be back after quite a long absence. Hope I can get on for the next few
weeks.
