A nice summer diversion. Better than the upcoming All-Star game but less
exciting than last year. I decided to go all phone to pick up some points for
the N3FJP WASC competition, in spite of the fact that talking is not my thing.
I don't do well at cocktail parties or in phone contests.
My wife tolerated the contest, just asking me to keep the door to the shack
shut. Then she went out shopping. I doubt if she ever heard me over the din
and roar of the Great City of Waltham. She certainly didn't marry me for my
phone contesting abilities and hearing "Alpha Bravo One Japan" and
"598" for hours is not a turn on. This has been verified.
Next weekend is the NAQP-RTTY. I'll be there unless my family decides to
celebrate my birthday on Saturday. I'm not sure if I should celebrate becoming
73 or deny it. Denial would work better for the contest.
