Comments:

I thought that last year's contest was the absolute "WORST" in my 15
years at this qth. Well, this year was even "WORSE" than last
year...not 1 Es qso, only "popcorn" scatter and some meteor scatter
qsos late at night. Never heard any W0-land calls except for 3 St. Louis area
stations. Never even heard a W5-land station....no EUR, no SA, no CARIB
stations heard either.
Also, major t-storms rolled in at 2PM, Sunday, and had to "shut-down"
last 3 hours of contest.
Murphy struck this contest: Contest Amp kept tripping grid overload....glad I
had a "spare" KW amp ready. Keyer developed erratic sending...glad
also had an extra keyer on hand!
You can never have too many "spares" for the contest gremlins.

GRIPES:
1. can't understand why EME qsos count, when EME has their own contest. Let
this be an ONLY "terrestrial" contest!
2. why do "digital" mode stations get to "self-spot" and
SSB/CW stations can't? Don't digital stations ever call "CQ" for
random contacts?? Do they always have to "set-up" their qsos?
