Comments:

99% S&P part-time effort, 4-bands only. Propagation was better than
expected at beginning of contest even though flux numbers did not show it. 10m
was in best shape all year. It opened over the pole on Sunday nicely with a
S9+20 report from VU-land. Signals out of SE Asia were weak however in the
evening on 10m. 15m was a money band as the rotor got a workout on the
sidearm. 20m was excellent at sunrise /sunset and stayed open during the
night. Some LP VK's on 20m were very loud. Did not operate 40m much since it
was so crowded and noisy compared to CW band. Only operated 40 a few hours
Saturday night. Enjoyed hitting my target of 100 countries on 20/15/10 and
almost made it on 40. The participation was good with many more BY stations
this time. Logged about 20 BY unique calls. Thanks to all the guys that got
on just to hand out a few Q's from those not so common QTH's and weathering the
pile ups.

Eric / W4DXX
